[Meh.]
Ryohei furrowed his eyebrows at the Uni. "Not hungry? How could you be not hungry? I'm starving because I haven't had anything since lunch to the EXTREME!"[/b] he announced, cramming the rest of the sandwhich down his throat. "It's not poison! I checked! Just two harmless slices of bread filled with tuna and deliciousness!" [/b]he assured her, waving the aforementioned foodstuff to emphasize his point. "Oh well, more for me," he shrugged, seeing the look on the girl's face.
He left a couple of sandwhiches in the wrapper, though, just in case.
Chewing thoughtfully, he regarded Hakuren. "Ldymothmfff kwrshhnffm."
He stopped and swallowed.
"Lady, you're answering the question without answering the question. I find that EXTREMELY suspicious," he said, taking another bite out of the extremely suspicious sandwhich.
[ EXTREME darling Ryohei, it is not common mafia practice to go around accepting food from suspicious strangers while acknowledging that the person is, indeed, suspicious. ]

[OOC: Come on guys, give me some help here, I'm trying to get this random plot/thing moving! Granted, it's not actually a plot, but let's keep this thread entertaining (and something new to write about)!] "A neutral ally? [/b] Hibari asked, both eyebrows raising. A soft, amused noise escaped through his mouth. "Wow."[/b] An outburst of noise from Ryohei made the Cloud Guardian look back to where he and Uni were sitting. He hadn't known that Ryohei could check food for poisons. Did he really have that ability? At least he was somewhat suspicious of the woman with them, much like Hibari was himself. "N-No thank you, I'm not hungry."[/b] It seemed like the girl had a modicum of common sense as well - and she really didn't know this woman, then. But if Hibari's suspicion was true, and Uni was part of a mafia family, unknowingly or not... "Why did you lie?"[/b] he asked Uni, shifting his weight so he was standing in between her and Hakuren, although not quite turning his back. He was still wary of her, after all. And she was a new face to him, despite apparently having attended Namimori with him. "And I suppose this is why you are here, Sasagawa?"[/b] Hibari raised an eyebrow, proving that he had indeed caught Ryohei's sentence. "You've forgotten where the Vongola base is?"[/b] Not that Hibari would even attempt to lead Ryohei back, even if he was in a good enough mood to share a hug with...well, anyone, really. No, he wouldn't go to the base just yet because there was that chance that Hakuren would tail them. And this was a worry because, well...the longer Hibari was here in the darkening streets of Italy, the colder his tea would get. And if his tea was cold when he got back, the Cloud guardian would not be pleased.[/blockquote]

[OOC: Normal threads (this is the only normal thread in here) are not supposed to move. Ya know that, right? xD] "I'm fine, thank you,"
[/color] Uni inclined her head, attempting to refuse politely and trying not to offend, even though she could tell that he was sincere. However, she couldn't help but smile at Ryohei when he tried to talk with his mouth full. "Lady, you're answering the question without answering the question. I find that EXTREMELY suspicious."The girl blinked and her smile widened. She hadn't thought that was suspicious. After all, Aria had often done that or completely ignored the questioin when she needed to, and Uni had grown to know that all adults do that. Perhaps they had secrets they didn't want to share; perhaps they just believed it was inappropriate for the situation. But either way, she kept silent. Do not speak until spoken to. "Why did you lie?"And now she was spoken to. "Lie?"[/color] she repeated, smile fading now. "What are you talking about? I'm not lying..."[/color] What she said was the truth. And it was definitely official. The clams had a base.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

[OOC: But I WANT it to move! It gets boring after a while, you know ] Hibari blinked as Uni's smile widened at being called 'suspicious'. Was that a trait that all little girls exhibited? Or were there other motives for the upturning of the corners of the mouth?
With the slightest shake of his head, Hibari turned to face the girl again. He was curious about her answer, after all. "What are you talking about? I'm not lying..." [/b] At this, Hibari's eyebrows visibly narrowed. "Lying?"[/b] he retorted back at her, purposefully mimicking her first question, his voice adopting a colder tone. "Oh, I of course believe you are lying,"[/b] Hibari said silkily, eyes narrowing. "About your lack of knowledge of the mafia."[/b] He carefully watched Uni for her response, and almost unconsciously his hands drifted closer to his box, ready to draw out his tonfa at moments' notice. After all, looks could be deceiving. Feeling that it was perhaps a prudent time to leave, Hibari jerked his head towards Ryohei. "Sasagawa, I will be returning back to the Vongola base,"[/b] he said, purposefully saying 'Vongola' and 'base' just to observe both Uni and Hakuren for their reactions. "I believe that some green tea would be most calming."[/b][/blockquote] [OOC: He's not, of course...I just wanted to say something <_<]

[Herp Derp Durr.]
Ryohei worked his jaw slightly, eyeing Hibari. What was he planning? Accusing the little girl of lying, then telling everyone that he wanted to go back to the base, when he obviously was planning no such thing? As thick as he was, Ryohei was very much aware that Hibari would not enter the base unless absolutely necessary. Popping in for a spot of tea? Preposterous.
What's more, Hibari was actually treating Ryohei like an ally for once, instead of a bumbling idiot. Which felt kinda nice, in a strictly brotherly way, don't get the wrong idea. It was nice to be appreciated.
Perhaps it would be best not to inform Hibari that Ryohei's method of checking for poisons consisted of eating the food and waiting to see if he died.
But that was beside the point.
"Yo, Hibari, if you're leaving, then I guess I have no reason to stay. I'll just follow Hakuren and drop the little kid off home, then I'll come meet you back at the base to the EXTREME. It ain't safe for to little girls to be walking around alone, after all. Tell Kyoko not to wait up, mmkay?"
Of course, although part of Ryohei really was making sure the women came to no harm, the mafioso in him was just trying for a chance to see where the girl came from. If he could mark the position of her base, it would be possible to do some research and see if she really was a part of the mafia.
Silently, he hoped Hibari would follow behind or something. If it came to blows, Ryohei really didn't think he could handle hitting girls.
Hibari, being a heartless prefect, would be much better suited to thatjob.

It had been quite obvious to Hakuren that the two Vongola guardians in front of herstill didn't completely trust her. What had made it obvious? Two reason. One, Hibari was mentioning a lot of mafia-related information, most likely on purpose too. And the second reason was that fact that Ryohei had suddenly announced that he would be following Uni and herself back to their destination. Nevertheless, Hakuren welcomed the Sun guardian.
"My, that's very generous of you, Sasagawa-san." She replied with a warm smile. "I hope you won't waste any of your precious time by doing so."
Normally, she would have denied anyone the option of following her like this but today was different. Refusing would only raise more suspicion and that wouldn't be good. One of the most important things about being an information broker was gaining people's trust. If the broker could not be trusted, then no one would buy the information. Hakuren frowned at this thought before quickly remembering her job.
"Well then Uni-chan, it's getting late. Shall we get going?" [I've missed you guys... ;-;]

Normally, Hibari would have simply let the odd couple walk away. After all, they were not strictly trespassing on Vongola property - and no, the streets of Italy did not count despite what he had said earlier. However, this was no normal situation, and he had had the suspicion that all was not what it seemed for a long time now. It prickled at the base of his skull like an annoying itch that he couldn't reach.
But what to do? Seven years on from being a prefect at Namimori had taught Hibari that he could not just waltz into a situation and proceed to...'beat up the bad guy', so to speak, at moment's notice. No, situations such as these required an adult's tact instead of a child's wilful ways.
Hibari seriously missed those days.
"Hold it,"
[/b] said Hibari coldly, finally jamming his finger to the box. At once, the familiar cold metal of his tonfas were in his palms, and an eerie purple glow emanated around him, untouched by the lone, flickering lamp above them all. "Kuromori. As you are, as you say, an information broker, do tell which family this girl...Uni...belongs to."[/color] There. There it was. Hibari was playing his hand, and he was playing it forcefully. If Hakuren did not respond, then Hibari could not be accused of whatever acts of violence happened afterwards. After all, he could always say that he believed them to be the enemy. "And whom exactly you work for."[/b] [/blockquote] [OOC: it's back]
